A bartender known as Ishimatsu saves a Yakuza boss and earns his way into the Yakuza as 'Uncle Ishimatsu'. However, his hot temper and psychopathic tendencies lead him into a world of bloodshed, drugs and betrayal. A nice Miike film, slow but brutal, it's like a Japanese Scarface or Goodfellas, and I'd recommend it for newcomers to Miike.

Story - 8 - Simple and straightforward
Presentation - 9 - The story progression and pacing of violence is excellent!
Overall - 9 - I'd love to see Fukasaku's original version of this, because this was excellent! Miike never takes time with a long story, and this was a nice mix.
