A bartender known as Ishimatsu saves a Yakuza boss and earns his way into the Yakuza as 'Uncle Ishimatsu'. However, his hot temper and psychopathic tendencies lead him into a world of bloodshed, drugs and betrayal. A nice Miike film, slow but brutal, it's like a Japanese Scarface or Goodfellas, and I'd recommend it for newcomers to Miike.
Dead Or Alive

A very flashy Yakuza film, the first 5 minutes alone with have enough blood, sex, drugs, guns, and male rape to leave your head a mushy mess. Definately not one to have on with the kids or parents around.
Dead Or Alive 2

Featuring the same stars as the first Dead Or Alive, but playing different roles in a different, motr stylish story; Two of the worlds greatest assassins meet, only to find out they are childhood friends. They subsequently team up to deal damage upon the Yakuza.

That's right, this is the film based on the famous Yakuza series of videogames, or more specifically, the first in the series; it's a prequel film, and by Takashi Miike, modern day Tokyo Yakuza can't be possibly portrayed better. Enjooy
Shinjuku Triad Society

Part of a trilogy, this is a very traditional Miike film; Yakuza, violence, gore.
Do you need to know any more?

Another part of the above trilogy, starring same stars, different roles, different story, same style.

A yakuza gets rebuilt and looks like something from the first power rangers movie. Awesome.

Now this is a film I'm proud of watching prior to any knowledge of it's status; If you haven't seen a Studio Ghibli film, and are wondering if they're any good, this is THE one to start off with.It has the stunning visuals, Hiyao Miyazaki wonder that makes Alice In Wonderland pale in comparison and Joe Hisaishi on the melancholic music, a true package of greatness. Download this now.
Grave Of The Fireflies

Haven't watched all of this one yet, but meant to be a sad epic, up there with Howls Moving Castle and Spirited Away, give it a look if you've seen those I guess.
Howls Moving Castle

Another acclaimed Ghibli masterpiece, Howls Moving Castle tells the tale of Sophie, a young timid woman who gets cursed and gets heavily aged into her 80's. Despite this, her character shines through and gives her the optimism to strive on and make great friends. A really nice Ghibli film, probably one of the few that you could watch after Spirited Away and not feel in any way disappointing by comparison.
My Neighbor Totoro

In the same vein as Spirited Away, My Neighbour Totoro tells the tale of children moving house, and is a great subtle take on the idea of wonder that accompanies it. I really liked this one, and has some really likable characters.

I still haven't watched this one properly, but I have been told to watch it many times by different people, so it must be good, I hear it's as good as Howls Moving Castle and even Spirited Away.

Okay, I'm not going to lie; Despite the acclaim and cult (ironically) status, I disliked this movie a lot. Why? For the lame script, tepid acting (at some points slightly embarrasing; It's no suprise to read that most of the actors were first timers), and noticeably low budget.
HOWEVER, it is executed well (up until the third act which is dire to say the least) and the diabolical acting is made up for by the lead detective being played by none other than Audition's Ryo Ishibashi.
And speaking of Takashi Miike, this film does have one or two bloody moments reminiscent of his films. The obscure storytelling, however, does not have underlying allegories and messages to them like in Miike's films, but is rather pretentious, trying to get your attention. A great idea, and good first hour or so, let down by everything else. But many people regard it as a J-Horror great, so check it for yourself.

My favorite horror, period.
NOTE : I need someone to test this download, because, for some odd reason, it uploaded in a second. 1. One. Uno. Second.
I assumed that it either didn't upload, or would be a corrupted file, but when I went to check the file on MegaVideo, it all seemed to be there, through to the end.
This is extremely bizarre, and as far as I know, not possible (I am not using fiber optics, and only have 3mbps download speed, about 1mbps upload. The only explanation I can think of is that MegaUpload detects identical files on it's database, and links them (Presumably to conserve space)).
The Yakuza Papers
A Yakuza 1970's saga sprawling 5 films by Kinji Fukasaku (Battle Royale), that are considered groundbreaking epics in Japanese cinema, defined as the 'Japanese Godfather'. I love them to bits.[/b]
These are EXTREMELY rare to find on the internet, and even more so to find in 1 megaupload link.

The Eye - Great Chinese horror about a blind girl who gets a cornea transplant from a woman who could see 'bad' things. Cliché, sure, but executed so, so well.
